Be able to memorize and teach yourself the paintings. Anything that appears twice is fair game. All grading is through the TA's. You don't need to read the textbook for details but make sure you know the dynasties and the cultural importance and stresses they placed on art for exams.

Pros: enthusiastic about her work
no written homework
patiently answers all questions
good sense of humour
Cons: entirely test based, tests are ridiculous
goes over class time and wastes class time
does not fully cover what you need to know
randomly doesn't show up to lecture
makes TA's do all the grading and work
takes attendance strictly
Avoid this class if you're doing it just for the gen-ed credit and/or have a hard time teaching yourself everything. Lectures were a waste of time as she spent the entire time just telling personal stories and appreciating the art rather than telling you the facts and skills you need to do well. She acts as if her class is the only one that matters.
